Mantorville, MN (KROC-AM News) - Preliminary reports indicate excessive speed may have contributed to a deadly traffic crash just north of Mantorville this morning.

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Department and the State Patrol responded to the intersection of 600th Street and 237th Avenue and discovered the driver of a car had been ejected in a rollover crash after losing control while traveling east on 600th Street. Officials have not released the name of the victim, who has been identified as a 48-year-old Mantorville man.

The State Patrol is also reporting that a woman from Racine was transported to St. Mary’s hospital yesterday following a traffic crash on Highway 52 at the 19th Street interchange in Rochester. The report says 56-year-old Pamela Johnson was driving a car that rear-ended another vehicle that had stopped with other vehicles lined up to exit onto 37th Street Northwest shortly before 3:30 p.m. Her injuries were described as non-life-threatening. The driver of the other vehicle was not hurt.
