Highway 52 Detoured Due to Truck Fire

Northbound Highway 52 motorists are being detoured south of Cannon Falls for a truck fire, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

The truck fire was reported earlier this morning. Authorities are determining the
contents of the truck at this point, so the road remains closed. The detour for northbound traffic is Goodhue County Road 9 west to Highway 56 north. Motorists can continue on Highway 56 to Highway 52 or go east on Highway 19 to Cannon Falls. Southbound Highway 52 traffic remains open.

The closure will remain until the highway can be cleared of the vehicles and the
materials safely moved. MnDOT will announce the opening of the highway via
Twitter.
