It's one of two parks here in Minnesota that actually let you hike behind the flow of the water in its waterfall -- it's Shadow Falls Park, and here's everything you need to know about it.

Our weather here in southeast Minnesota is forecast to be absolutely incredible as we head into the Labor Day weekend, so it's the perfect time to get out and enjoy the outdoors one last time this summer. And while you might have heard of its more famous twin, Minnehaha Falls, Shadow Falls Park is pretty cool too-- and might make for a quick trip this holiday weekend.

According to THIS story, Shadow Falls Park is located off West Summit Avenue along the banks of the Mississippi River in St. Paul, only a little over an hour north of Rochester. It's not too far from the University of St. Thomas campus. You can check the location on Google Maps HERE.

The story notest that the water fall itself is hidden "in a deep ravine at the West end of Summit Avenue where Shadow Falls Creek flows over layers of limestone, shale, and sandstone."

My wife and I love hiking, and while we head up to St. Paul fairly often, I've never to this park-- but it looks pretty cool. We'll have to check it out!
