I usually don't watch CNN, let alone on a prime-time Saturday night. However, I'm going to make an exception tonight. If you're a fan of this iconic band who has not seen the History Of The Eagles on a pay-for-it deep-digital cable network, or perhaps a documentary on PBS, or if you're like me and don't own the DVD Documentary, tonight would be a good night to watch. It's sad to say that due to the death of co-founding member Glenn Frey this past Monday that The Eagles are thru, regretfully. -Steve ~ Quick Country Weekends

No matter how you slice it, The Eagles have had a HUGE impact on the music industry and popular music in general. They help create the Country-Rock genre' of music in one fell swoop, and have impacted numerous popular Country Music artists as well. Keith Urban, Travis Tritt, Little Big Town, Miranda Lambert, Lady Antebellum, Brad Paisley, Vince Gill, Clint Black, Trisha Yearwood, new comer Granger Smith, and many others all cite The Eagles as having a major influence on their music.
