Rochester, MN  (KROC AM News) - Despite the cold and windy conditions, dozens of adults and young kids turned out Tuesday for the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train’s stop in Rochester.

The entertainers also braved the weather as they performed from an open boxcar during the stop near the Hy-Vee Barlow store.

The train has been making stops in Rochester for several years as part of its annual run around the country. The event is used to raise money and food for local food banks.

During the Rochester stop, CP gave a $10,000 check to the Channel One food bank. Donations from those who came to the event totaled 730 pounds of food and $91 in cash.
