Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) -  Rochester police officers were called to a southeast residence early Sunday to check a report of a home invasion.

A woman called 911 around 2 a.m. to report two or three males kicked open her apartment door and ransacked her home looking for money.  Police Sergeant John Mitchell says one of the intruders pointed a gun at the woman when they first entered, demanding money. The man also tapped the gun on the side of the woman's head.  The men also went to the upstairs area, where the woman’s three young children were sleeping.  It appears they left empty handed.  The woman called her boyfriend after the men left.  He came over and called police. The woman was not able to give a good description of the intruders.

The residence is located in the 900 block of Homestead Village Lane SE.
