Houston farmer Steve Vangundy hurt his arm after getting caught in a combine, and has been in the hospital, and now he is getting a helping hand with his harvest.

According to a story from WBKT-TV in La Crosse, Vangundy hurt his arm and nobody at the home was able to take care of the crops. Then, Vangundy's neighbors and friends took the initiative to harvest Vangundy's crops for him.

The family was very thankful for the help, as a combined five combines were out in Vangundy's fields Thursday, where they harvested about 70-80 acres of corn and about 60 acres of soy beans.

"It's just unbelievable, amazing, awesome. I mean... We're very thankful. To come from such a small community, where people are willing to do this, is just... words can't even say it," said Steve's sisters Shelly Johnson and Dino Orr told WBKT-TV.

It is always amazing to see a small community rally together to help another community member in need. It is one of the many perks of living in a small community. I absolutely love it.
