I love to get out on the water and set sail in a kayak or a canoe. My wife and I canoed down the Zumbro River a few years ago and had a great time. A much better than this guy did!

Have you heard about the story out of upstate New York that centers around a woman who's been charged with murdering her fiancee by sabotaging his kayak, taking his paddle and then not calling 911 after he'd tipped his boat over in the cold waters of the Hudson River?

According to the New York Times, the incident happened in April of 2015, and originally it appeared that Angelika Graswald was horribly upset after he fiancee, Vincent Viafore, disappeared into the waters of the Hudson River after his kayak capsized. Now, however, authorities believe that Graswald, apparently unhappy with not only her engagement to Viagore, but with his existence entirely, took the plug out of his kayak and then took his paddle from him as he struggled in the river after falling out.

Yikes! There are a lot of other elements involved, obviously, and you can read the entire story HERE, but suffice it to say, it's one that sends a chill down your spine! Now, I'm a total conflict avoider, and hate it when my wife and I get into an argument. Thankfully, it doesn't happen much. But even if we do argue about things, we still love each other and neither one of us wants to get rid of the other one!

Just how much do you have to not like your fiancee to deliberately sabotage his kayak and then take his paddle from him as he's struggling in the water?  Hoo boy. I'm glad our trek down the Zumbro a couple years ago didn't turn out like this!
