Monday's forecast called for both snow showers and snow flurries (which eventually turned into a 'steady light snow'.) But what, exactly, is the difference between a snow shower and a snow flurry?

Now, I imagine there must be some actual meteorological difference between the two (involving scientific measurements like water content and who knows what else).
