The winter storm that's hitting southeastern Minnesota Tuesday has prompted the Minnesota State Patrol to announce that all state highways south of Highway 14 along with I-90 will be closing at 2 p.m. Tuesday.

The Minnesota State Patrol made the announcement early Tuesday afternoon on their Twitter page. If your commute takes you along any of these highways, you'll want to find another route home.

Although, according to MnDOT, most all of the roads and highways in southeast Minnesota are completely snow covered, with travel not advised in some spots near Lanesboro.
