ROCHESTER, Minn. – Westbound ramps on Interstate 90 at St. Charles and Eyota will be closing for 30 days for reconstruction and motorists will be detoured beginning on Wednesday, Oct. 7, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

The closures are part of a 12-mile concrete paving project on the westbound lanes of Interstate 90 in Winona and Olmsted counties.

Westbound off and on ramps to Dover (Olmsted County Road 10, exit 229) will be opening on Wednesday. Westbound motorists who need to exit to St. Charles or Eyota can take this exit and travel to those communities via Highway 14.

The closing exits are exit 233 at St. Charles (Highway 74) or exit 224 at Eyota (Highway 42). The eastbound I-90 ramps to these communities will remain open.

The $17 million project will overlay concrete on the westbound lanes, as well as the westbound ramps at Highway 42, Olmsted County Road 10 and Highway 74. The project should wrap up by early November.
