NOTE: Today's selection is dedicated to long time 'Church Choir' members Mollyann & Andrew McCann from Grand Rapids, Minnesota, and their recently departed son Noah Michael. -  Please know 'The Choir' is by your side, as you remain in our in our minds, hearts, and in our prayers.

Eric Church has been defined as one with a bad-boy persona, a relentless taste for performing LIVE, and a country music force to be reckoned with. Church has received critical acclaim with regards to his song writing, and with the release of his last three studio albums; his platinum selling 'Chief' ,'The Outsiders', and his newest effort, 'Mr Misunderstood'. Early in 2017 Eric will embark on his 'Holdin My Own' Tour which will include a stop in Minneapolis January 20th at the Target Center.

Eric is in it for the fans, which he has proven over & over again with his on-going efforts to keep tickets out of the hands of 'scalpers', and the secondary ticket market. The Holding My Own Tour will feature Eric Church, and only Eric Church, as he will be performing a double set each evening, with no opening act! Potentially that means about 3 hours of Eric Church Music each night on tour, and his loyal Church Choir and newly acquired fans along his winding dirt road of music are thrilled about it!

EARLY CHURCH focuses on Eric's early years, and is for that NEW FAN who may not be familiar with Eric's early, and back catalog of music. I'll feature a different single from the two albums detailed below, and on occasion may include a Throwback Video, Song Lyrics, a Guitar Tab for that budding guitarist, or maybe even excerpts from a recent interview.

TODAY, let me be your weekly guide to NEW MUSIC that really isn't new, but just plain & simply, kicks butt !

The 2006 'Sinners Like Me' album release, and the 2009 'Carolina' Capital-Nashville effort, chocked-full of tasty song writing nuggets that may not have garnered radio hits like his most recent singles; but would certainly define his climb from obscurity from small clubs & venues to a major touring powerhouse delivering record-breaking attendance records, not to mention attracting a very loyal fan base (The Church Choir) who he himself is very loyal to as well.

Eric has announced that he will be incorporating many songs from his ('Early Church') catalog during the opening set each night.

Those I've Loved - LYRICS
I remember waitin' by the curb with Mr. Murphy
When daddy picked me up from school his eyes were red
We drove to the hospital in a hurry
Where my family gathered round my Grandpa's bed
He was my best friend
He taught me how to fish
And I cried listenin' to my daddy pray
For one of those I've loved along the way
She had a ribbon in her hair the day I met her
That whole next year we couldn't get enough
And after graduation she took off for Denver
And for awhile we both tried to keep in touch
She was my best friend
And it broke my heart
But I don't regret the day that she became
One of those I've loved along the way
And I hope they know
I never woulda made it this far on my own
Where would we all be without those
Fathers and mothers, sisters and brothers
The friends I've made, the long lost lovers
I wouldn't be who I am today
If not for those I've loved along the way
Along the way
Now I'm just a country boy with a guitar
Lookin' back down this old road I've been travelin' on
It was never about tryin' to be some big star
For me it's always been about these songs
You see they're my best friends
They're the life I live
And I hope they put a smile on the face
Of those that I've loved along the way
'Cause I wouldn't be the man I am today
If not for those I've loved along the way
Along the way
Along the way
