Idiot of the Day

Instead of taking a sick day, a Tampa man allegedly staged a burglary to get out of work.
The man called the sheriff’s non-emergency line and reported he just came home and found his house had been broken into. He also said he saw a vehicle drive away from his house.
Deputies found the front door open, the house appeared to have been ransacked and the front bedroom window and blinds were open. What they didn’t find was any signs of a break-in.
The police eventually got the man to admit he staged the burglary to avoid having to go to work. He said his wife was adamant that he go to work and he didn’t want to.
Instead of going to work, he ended up in jail.
