Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) -  There’s been another reported incident involving an Olmsted County detention deputy and an unruly inmate who threw human waste at the officer.

The incident happened last Friday.

Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office Captain Scott Behrns says 40-year-old Frank Towers became upset at two deputies and began spitting at them. He then grabbed a roll of toilet paper he had soaked in urine and threw it at one of the deputies. The deputy was hit in the chest and some of the urine sprayed the officer in the eyes.

Towers is now facing a felony assault charge.

Towers has been in jail since May when he was arrested for hitting a man over the head with a hammer and then getting into a brief standoff with police.

Another inmate squirted a mixture of urine and feces into the face of a detention deputy when she opened his cell door last month.
