Nobody enjoys the holidays more than I do, and even though I'm not quite at the Clark Griswold level, we do put up our share of outdoor holiday decorations. I just don't still have them up and lit now that it's February-- but some houses here in Rochester do.

My commute to and from the Quick Country 96.5 studios takes me through several very nice neighborhoods in southwest and northwest Rochester. And, seeing as I drive home at 7 each night, I've noticed there are more than just a couple of houses that still have their outdoor holiday decorations up and lit. One house I've noticed has two Christmas trees still decorated and lit up in front of their picture windows.

Now, like I said, I enjoy holiday lights as much as anybody else. But now that it's the first week of February, is it too late to still have your Christmas lights up?

Some friends I know take all their lights and decorations down on New Year's Day. That seems a little early to me, though. We usually leave ours up until the first weekend of January, if not a few days earlier. We're set all our decorations up fairly early, though, usually the week of Thanksgiving, so by the first week of January, our real tree is starting to get pretty dry-- and lose a lot of needles-- so we're ready to take it down.

So, what say you? How long should you leave your holiday decorations up?
