When it comes to some spectacular fall colors, there are a lot of great trees here in Rochester that exhibit many brilliant red, orange and yellow colors. This isn't one of them.

I should say right up front here that the tree in question is our tree, and is located in the front yard of our house in northwest Rochester. It's grown quite a bit in the four-and-a-half years we've lived here, and, in fact, some of its longer branches are now getting almost a little close to the house.

So while our tree is growing like the proverbial weed, there's one thing it doesn't do: Its leaves won't turn colors. Well, I guess they do turn a kind of pale yellow, but that only happens right before they fall off and I have to rake them up. Are there any brilliant red or orange colors on our tree? Nope. Nada. Nothing.

In fact, my wife and I have said our tree -- when it comes to fall colors, at least -- might be the Lamest Tree in Rochester. Check out how our color-impaired tree compares to some other vibrant trees here in Rochester:
