Today is 'National Doughnut Day' and who doesn't get a little excited when there's a box of doughnuts in the break room? Doughnuts come in all different flavors, too as you can see by the picture.

Donut Day has been celebrated on the first Friday in June since 1938. Here in Rochester, the Salvation Army if giving out free donuts, coffee and bottled water from 10am to 1pm, at the Peace Plaza in Rochester.

While you're there, ask about the Salvation Army's "Bed & Bread Club." And a big shout out goes to the Gingerbread House, VFW Post 1215 and Hy-Vee North for the generous donations to make it all happen today. - Alan
