Even though the calendar said Fall officially began on Monday, the NFL's already in week 4, and the kids have been back in school for close to a month, I guess I've been in a sense of denial that summer's actually over. But this morning, while I was out running some errands, I had the undeniable proof starting me right in the face.

Yes, this tree, in all its early Fall splendor, was right in front of me as I found a place to park, making it tough to ignore. (I guess it's an 'early adapter' when it comes to turning colors.) And even though I know it's officially Fall, this tree just reinforced it for me.  I guess I might as well just accept it.  It's not that I dislike Fall; it's more so that I miss those warm, lazy vacation-filled days of summer-- or the carefree mindset we all seem to embody during the summer.  Oh, well.  Those days are gone for another year. I guess there's nothing to do now but grab a pumpkin spice latte...
