Judge overturns Adrian Peterson ruling – reinstatement could be soon.

Adrian Peterson could be very close to reinstatement. According to numerous reporters on Twitter, the judge who heard the NFL Players Association’s lawsuit against the NFL has ruled in favor of Peterson.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, that means Peterson will be reinstated now, rather than having to wait until at least April 15 when the running back’s suspension ended.

from Twitter:
Judge Doty has overturned Adrian Peterson decision and Peterson now will be reinstated, per source.

The exact ramifications of the ruling are still murky however, so check back here for updates.

If Schefter is correct, however (and he has a very good track record), that means the Vikings, as an organization, would likely need to decide on Peterson’s future in purple sooner rather than later.

Reminder that players cannot be traded until the start of the league year on March 10.

The @NFL says it will “review the decision” by Judge Doty to make Adrian Peterson
immediately eligible.
