The Minnesota Vikings have once again nominated TE Kyle Rudolph for the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award.

The award is given out each year to players that "exhibit on-the-field excellence and also those who impact lives off the field to leave a positive legacy in their communities."

Vikings Owner/President Mark Wilf said, "In addition to having a successful career on the field and rewriting franchise records for tight ends, Kyle brightens the lives of others at dark times.”

Rudolph was nominated for the award last year too but lost to J.J. Watt from the Texans after he did some amazing work after Hurricane Harvey.

The Vikings released a video called 'Dear Kyle' in which you see the Vikings TE reading letters from people that he has affected or inspired. Warning, it is a VERY emotional video, so you better have some tissues ready.

The winner will be announced during the 'NFL Honors' broadcast the night before the Super Bowl. According to the NFL, "$500,000 will be donated in the name of the 2018 winner. $250,000 will be donated in his name to expand Character Playbook, the NFL and United Way's digital character education program. An additional donation of $250,000 will be donated to the charity of his choice."
