Leap Day Meaning — Why We Have Leap Day

Today is Leap Day. This is the day that happens once every 4 years in accordance with the Gregorian calendar. Leap Day is also one of the biggest days of the year for wedding proposals because it's a Leap Year and acceptable for women to ask men to marry.

St. Bridget started the Leap Year proposals after she popped the question to St Patrick on February 29th. She believed women should be able to propose to their men.
