Light up Rochester and Southeast Minnesota With Your Green Light – Green Light a Vet
WHAT IS GREEN LIGHT A VET? Perhaps you saw it introduced at the CMA's Weds night. Green Light A Vet 2016 is a campaign to establish visible national support for our veterans by changing one light to green.
America’s veterans are some of our nation’s bravest, hardest-working men and women. However, it’s hard to show them the appreciation they deserve when, back home and out of uniform, they’re more camouflaged than ever.

-- VETERANS DAY IS FRIDAY NOVEMBER 11th 2016 --
===========================================
Please note, I'm not behind this initiative because I was a veteran myself. I did serve with pride, about 40 years ago in the United States Navy, and had the distinction of doing so honorably. I reaped many personal benefits, life lessons, and refined skills I will always be grateful I had a chance to develop and achieve, while serving the country I love. Blogging about Green Light A Vet for me is about shining a (green) light on a Vet whom society may have forgot, or has fallen thru the cracks. It's for the VET who may struggle with physical or psychological disabilities, who has not had a fair shake due to those disabilities, or personal hardship. This continues to be my hope.
