Longtime Rochester Radio Personality Named Rochesterfest Director

Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester man who began his professional career in the radio business more than 30 years ago will soon have a new job.  

It was announced Wednesday that Brent Ackerman will succeed Carole Brown as executive director of Rochesterfest. Brown recently announced her retirement after serving 24 years.

Ackerman has been on the radio in Rochester for over than 30 years. He started after graduating from college in 1984 and is currently the Operations Manager for the local Townsquare Media group of stations that includes Quick Country 96.5.  

Ackerman has been involved with Rochesterfest for several years as a volunteer and board member and served as last year’s chairperson. He will take over as executive director Feb. 15th.
