When Mendota Heights police officer Scott Patrick was tragically killed in the line of duty last summer, the community, and entire state of Minnesota, rallied around Officer Patrick's family. And, now, his brothers in blue at the MHPD continue to take care of his family-- by recently escorting Officer Patrick's youngest to her school's father-daughter dance.

KSTP-TV in Minneapolis has the touching story of how not just one, but 15 officers escorted Officer Patrick's daughter, Amy, to her dance last weekend. Seeing as my dad served for over 30 years as a police officer back in Wisconsin, I have a special reverence and respect for those who put on the badge and uniform each day and potentially put their own lives on the line to protect ours. To the officers of the Mendota Heights police department-- and all law enforcement agencies, as well as those in our armed forces-- thank you for your service!
