Middle aged women who log 30 minutes of exercise a day can cut their chances of getting breast cancer by 20%.

Gentle exercise, like jogging did not count, more intense workouts like Zumba and aerobics did.

Obese women are 50% more likely to develop a disease over thin women. Fat cells increase the level of the hormone estrogen which can cause breast cancer. Exercise decreases the hormone.

Researchers say more research is needed to understand the connection between the two, but in the meantime, start exercising.
