There's just something intriguing about a good old fashioned thunderstorm rolling through southeast Minnesota in the summer. And, it's even cooler in slow motion!

Remember those storms that kicked up across the area late Saturday and early Sunday? I'm not sure exactly what time they hit us here in the Med City, but I'm pretty sure it was at least after midnight, because all the lightning definitely woke up me. (Well, that and wondering if the rain was going to blow into the open window in our bedroom.)

But, as it turns out, I wasn't the only one up and enjoying the storm in the wee hours last Sunday morning. YouTube user (and fellow Minnesotan) BlakePries happened to be awake, too-- and he recorded a bunch of lightning strikes in slow motion as they rolled through his house up in Eden Prairie. It's pretty cool!  I like a good thunderstorm every now and again-- as long as it doesn't cause any damage, that is.
