Minnesota Man Puts In Swimming Pool For Neighborhood Kids

He was lonely after his wife died, so check out what one Minnesota man did for the kids in his neighborhood!

This is an amazing story, and it comes to us from Boyd Huppert at KARE-11 and his 'Land of 10,000 Stories' series. It's the story of Keith Davison, a retired judge who lives in Morris, Minnesota, which is located west of St. Cloud, a little under four hours from Rochester.

Keith's wife, Evy, recently passed away. Now, that's a sad story for anyone, right? But keep in mind Keith is 94-years old... and he and Evy had been married for 66 years! Can you imagine?!?

So, to keep from wallowing in self-pity and loneliness, Keith had an idea: He'd install a in-ground pool in his backyard, and invited all the neighborhood kids to come by and use it. Which he did earlier this year-- and the result has been really cool.

The story says Keith has three grown children but doesn't have any grand kids of his own. Until he put in the pool, that is. Now, he has a whole neighborhood of them. "You kind of adopted our whole neighborhood of kids, these are your grandkids," a neighbor said in the story.
