When you're a reporter for a TV station, some standard advice is to report the story; don't BE the story. Unless, of course, your boyfriend is going to propose to you while you're live on the air, like what happened to this Minneapolis reporter. Then it's okay to be the story.

Yes, WCCO Mid-Morning was doing a story Wednesday on engagement rings. It turns out that the entire story was a  set-up, so that reporter Ashley Roberts' boyfriend (who's a photojournalist at competing station KSTP-TV) could propose, without her knowing anything about it.
