In the quest to become the winner of this season's American Idol, two Minnesota singers had a pretty good week. Both South St. Paul's Shannon Berthiaume and Minneapolis singer Mark Andrew survived the cut on Thursday night's episode, and are moving on to the top 48 round.

While the episode didn't show much of Berthiaume, although we did learn she made it through, it did focus on Andrew-- and the trouble he was having staying awake. His tiredness apparently made him forget some of the lyrics to the Bon Iver song he was singing, which, according to a TwinCities.com story, got some reaction from the judges, including a warning to learn ALL the lyrics next time. Andrew ended up moving on, but only, as judge Harry Connick, Jr. said, because he has a "special voice."  Check it out...
