Undated (KROC AM News) - The Minnesota State Patrol is asking the public’s help in locating another driver who struck and killed a person the same day and not far from where a girl was also fatally injured under similar circumstances.

The State Patrol says it’s believed 85-year-old Margaret Johnson was struck and killed near the mailbox of her rural home near Aitkin between noon and 1 p.m. last Friday. The Patrol says it’s possible the driver of the vehicle that hit her was unaware because she was near the shoulder of the road.

The Patrol earlier issued a plea for help in finding the driver of a vehicle that struck and killed a 10-year-old girl several hours later about 20 miles from Johnson’s home. The Patrol says Caylin Donovan of Lake Park was at a home on the north shore of Lake Mille Lacs around 8 p.m. when she was hit while at the end of the driveway of the residence.
