Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Minnesota Supreme Court has issued yet another ruling stemming from the 6-year-old legal fight over the contract for operating Rochester’s public transit system.

Today’s ruling overturns a decision by the State Court of Appeals, which found evidence there was an appearance of bias in the bid selection process used two years ago to award a new contract to First Transit. While the justices overturned the appeals court ruling, they also sent the case back to the Court of Appeals because the judgesfailed to address four alternative arguments for bias that were presented by Rochester City Lines.

Meanwhile, the Court of Appeals is currently considering an appeal filed by Rochester City Lines after the judge upheld the city’s original decision in 2012 to end a decades-long relationship with the company and award the contract to First Transit.
