The Twins plan to honor the memory of Jacob Wetterling Friday night against Cleveland at Target Field with a special patch.

In tribute to a tragedy that's been felt across the Land of 10,000 Lakes, the Twins plan to wear a "Number 11" patch in honor of the life and memory of Jacob.

Why the number 11? Wetterling, who's body was found last week after missing for 27-years after being kidnapped in St. Joseph, Minnesota, also wore No. 11 in youth sports.

In a classy gesture, Cleveland players will also wear the patch on their uniforms.

Starting Friday, the Twins will auction off 11 of the jerseys worn and all proceeds with benefit the Jacob Wetterling Resource Center.  To bid, go to twinsbaseball.com/auctions.
