We all know summer in Minnesota can be fleeting and that we all find ways to squeeze the most out of it that we can. But our Most-Googled Summer Obsession isn't quite what you might think it would be.

The gang over at FunFacts from the Home Run Inn had a little extra time on their hands and decided to look at how all 50 states celebrate summer-- specifically, what each state's summer obsession is. Their method to find these obsessions, of course, was looking at what each state was searching for the most on Google.

If you're like me, you'd probably think something like 'camping' or 'state parks' or even 'ways to keep your beer cold' might top the Google search list in the summer in Minnesota. (Okay, maybe that last one's more applicable to just me.)

But, nope. While 'campsite' WAS a highly searched-for summer obsession in states like Washington, Idaho, Wyoming, and Colorado, Minnesota's summer obsession was...

Hammock.

That's right, hammock. I guess it makes sense, I mean, I like taking a quick nap in the hammock on our backyard deck. And, the site says we're not the only state that has a summer obsession with hammocks, either.

"As for Utah, Minnesota, Missouri, Arkansas, Michigan, and Ohio, it’s all about relaxing in the great outdoors: Their top summer searches were for hammocks," the site noted.

Other top summer obsessions included things like farmers markets, skateboard, softball, pool, and even county fairs. But here in the Land of 10,000 Lakes, we're obsessed with our hammocks in the summer. Which IS a lot easier than being obsessed with them when it's 20 below zero in the winter, I guess...
