I'll admit it. I've got an ice cream problem. I dive into a bowl of the stuff several times a week during the summer. I like it so much, most nights, I try to talk myself out of having a bowl -- without much success, mind you. But today, I WILL get some ice cream -- and help out a great cause at the same time.

That's because today (Thursday, July 30th) is the 10th annual 'Miracle Treat Day' at participating Dairy Queens throughout Minnesota. That means that for every Blizzard sold today, DQ will donate $1 or more to local Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.

And, according to BringMeTheNews.com, here in Minnesota, the money raised by DQ will be donated to Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare. The story goes on to say that,

"Minnesota-based Dairy Queen and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals have been partners since 1984 to help provide treatment to children across the United States and Canada. Since then, more than $100 million has been raised through donations at participating DQs. Last year, Miracle Treat Day raised more than $236,000 for Gillette, which provides care and services in 18 locations throughout Minnesota, the International Falls Journal says."
