As if Miranda Lambert’s influence could become any greater, she has now started her own label imprint, Vanner Records, under the umbrella of Sony Music Nashville.

The new imprint extends the singer’s longtime relationship with Sony that spans 12 years. Her upcoming album, The Weight of These Wings, marks the first release under Vanner Records.

"Re-signing Miranda to Sony Music Nashville and helping her create Vanner Records has been absolutely one of the highlights of my 15 months at Sony Music Nashville,” says Randy Goodman, chairman  & CEO of Sony Music Nashville, in a press release. “Miranda as an artist represents everything we want to be as a record company and her energy and vision will help drive us forward as well."

The new project, which is Lambert’s sixth studio album to date, features the lead single “Vice.” She recently gave fans even more of a taste of the two-disc album by sharing another song, “Keeper of the Flame.”

The new album includes two discs titled “The Nerve” and “The Heart,” each featuring 12 tracks. The Weight of These Wings debuts on Nov. 18.

Lambert is also up for Female Vocalist of the Year at the CMA Awards on Wednesday (Nov. 2), an accolade she has taken home six times.
