Minnesota’s Luckiest Town for Lottery Winnings in 2015
Last year in Minnesota, there were more than 88,000 prizes cashed in every day for the Minnesota State Lottery. Did you know that Minnesota is ahead of Wisconsin when it comes to Powerball winners? Minnesota has 22 and Wisconsin has had 15.
When adjusted 'per capita', the luckiest town in Minnesota is Elba! The convenience store there has sold two big prizes totaling $201,000.00. By the way, Elba has a population of just 152.
Minnesota's three public zoos also get a portion of every dollar spent on the lottery. The Minnesota Zoo, Como Zoo and the Lake Superior Zoo benefit from the Natural Resources Fund.
