The Rochester area finally received some much-needed rain last night - too much, too fast in some areas of the city as streets were flooded during the initial downpour.

More rain fell in the city through the overnight hours and totals as of 5 a.m. were in the 1 - 2 inch range. St. Mary’s had a total of 1.4 inches as of 5 a.m. Oxbow Park had a total of 2.85 inches and the Douglas area had a total of around 2 ½ inches.

The total at the Rochester airport was just over an inch. That’s more than what the airport received during the previous 30 days. There is a chance of more rain in the area through tomorrow and later in the week.

Most recent totals.
