Did you know that ovarian cancer is the deadliest of all gynecologic cancers? Since there is no test, it's often diagnosed late. Women from all across Southern Minnesota will gather to help find a cure at the 8th Annual Unleash the SHE race. Five dollars of each registration fee will be donated to MOCA - a statewide non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness, providing education and support to women and families impacted by the disease and funding the research needed to detect ovarian cancer early and treat it properly.

The race, features a 10K run and a 5K walk/run, and will take place at Mayo High School Sunday, May 6th. Men and children are also invited to participate as well. For the men - 5K “Support the SHE” walk. For the kids - 1K Kids Fun Run. Register now at unleashtheshe.com. There will also be vendors on hand with information, door prizes, giveaways and more.

This year, the race is part of a full weekend of activities about ovarian cancer. You can participate in an education seminar on Saturday, May 5th.The Foundation for Women’s Cancer and Mayo Clinic will be hosting the session at the Marriot Rochester Hotel.
