If you have pets like ours, you know how much they like their food-- and everybody else's food, too.  It wasn't bad enough that Chance, our Beagle-mix, has already downed an entire box of crackers, a wedge of bleu cheese, plus a candy dish full of Hersey's Kisses; now, he's getting help from our cat, Finn, who apparently knocks food off the kitchen counter overnight, which Chance then gets to devour.

Yes, it was the 'ol One-Two Punch our pets teamed up to pull on us. It happened last night when our cat, Finn, knocked a baggie with a couple of cranberry English muffins off the kitchen counter. From the bedroom, we heard something hit the floor, but when I went to see what had happened in the kitchen, I couldn't find anything.

Well, this morning, we noticed the muffins were missing. After a search of the house, I found the smoking gun: an empty baggie, still in Chance's crate. The muffins, though, were mysteriously missing. So, after calling in a few detectives to recreate the crime scene, I'm guessing this is what went down: After Finn knocked the muffins off the counter, he either grabbed the bag and took it downstairs where the dog found it; or the dog found the bag on the floor upstairs before I found it, and took it downstairs.

Either way, Chance ended up eating a couple of cranberry English muffins, and my wife and I were out breakfast. Nice teamwork, Chance and Finn!  Have your pets ever eaten something they weren't supposed to?
