Tom Hanks' recent appearance on The Late Late Show, where he acted out scenes from most of his movies, is getting a lot of attention online. While it was well done and pretty funny, it left out a scene from my favorite Tom Hanks movie.

That would be the 1987 movie, Dragnet. Hanks was only 29-years-old when he co-starred with Dan Aykroyd in this big screen remake of the late 60's TV crime show. It came out a year before 'Big' did, so Hanks wasn't all that well known at the time. I was a fan of the unintentional humor of the original TV series (starring Jack Webb as the stone-faced Det. Friday), so when I saw the trailer for the movie, I had to see it. I ended up liking it so much, I bought a version on DVD when it was available as well.  Check it out:
