I don't know about you, but when I find a new food item that I like -- whether it's a new flavor of coffee, a new beer, or whatever -- I tend to go nuts and eat a lot of whatever it is -- until another 'addiction' comes along. And right now, I'm doing everything in my power to not eat an entire jar of either Jif's Salted Caramel Hazelnut spread or Trader Joe's Cookie Butter.

My 'problem' started one morning, when instead of having a breakfast bar with my coffee, I started toasting an English muffin. Seeing as I'm not as strong as my wife, who eats hers plain, I started coating said muffin with lingonberry preserves. That phase lasted until last fall, when we bought some Nutella -- the hazelnut spread. It tastes kind of like chocolate, and went great with my coffee -- which, of course, is saturated with some type of flavored creamer.

I was on the Nutella kick for a couple of months, until my wife bought me some of the Speculoos Cookie Butter from Trader Joe's. Can you say addicted? It's made with a hint of gingerbread and crushed biscuits, and tastes just like a cookie. Yes, I was addicted, all right.

Well, I was until my wife bought some of the Jif's Salted Caramel Hazelnut spread yesterday, that is. Holy cow. THIS stuff is so good, I had all I could do to not just eat the whole jar, by itself, with a spoon this morning. As it was, I toasted up another muffin just so I could load it up with the Jif spread. I might have problem. If only my food addiction would extend into the veggie isle.

Is there any food out there you're 'addicted' to right now?
