New Brew Pub Opens Today In Rochester

If you're like me and you like to eat out, and you like a good craft beer, then today's our lucky day, as a new brew pub is now open in downtown Rochester!

Yes, today is the opening day for the Grand Rounds Brew Pub, located on Historic Third St. in downtown Rochester. The brew pub is in the building that formerly was home to Sontes, which closed at the end of last year. Since then, the Grand Rounds has been busy remodeling the building, and brewing several of their own beers.

According to the Med City Beat, the Grand Rounds is the first brew pub (an establishment that both brews their own beer and serves food) in Rochester in 20 years. It offers four beers brewed in-house initially (a session IPA, a Scotch Ale, a coconut stout, and an cask ale) with plans for more in the future.

They're open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Sundays. You can check out their website HERE.
