New Executive Director Hired for Rochester Airport
The Rochester Airport Company has hired a new executive director.
John Reed is scheduled to report for work on February 16th and will succeed Marty Lenss, who recently left Rochester to take a similar position at an airport in Iowa. Reed, who has 23 years of experience in the aviation industry, is currently the assistant airport director for the Austin Straubel International Airport in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
“I am looking forward to working with the community, Rochester Airport Company aboard, and the Airport Commission to move the airport forward,” says Reed. “There are several projects coming up including a terminal modernization which are all great for the region. My family and I are excited to make the move to Rochester and become part of a great community.”
Lenss also came to Rochester from the Green Bay area when he was hired in May 2013 to succeed Steve Leqve, who held the Rochester airport director post for over 40 years.
