As much as we all use keyboards these days, from our phones, to our tablets, to our computers at work, it's not surprising typos and mistakes happen. But you'd think that, when you're a major department store ordering team jerseys for an NFL team, maybe SOMEBODY would have caught this little omission in Teddy Bridgewater's jersey.

According to a story on BringMeTheNews, about 70 Target stores throughout the Twin Cities were selling a Teddy 'Bridewater' (that's 'Bridgewater' without the 'g') jersey over the weekend. Oops.  Bridgewater, of course, is the 21-year-old 1st round draft pick the Vikings hope will be the team's quarterback of the future.

The story goes on to say that, "Joshua Thomas, a Target spokesman, told the Star Tribune 'unfortunate' error was noticed 'right away' and 'even the most meticulous editor unfortunately sees an error slip through to the printer from time to time.'"

I can relate to the error, though. About ten years ago, when I was working at a radio station in Eau Claire, WI, we were sponsoring a bicycle race called the 'Festival Of Wheels.' But when we got the t-shirts back a day or so before the race, they said 'Fesitval Of Wheels,' with the 'i' and the 't' transposed. Oops. And, at that point, it was too late to get them reprinted. Luckily for me, that typo didn't stand out as much as Target's 'Bridewater' typo does!
