One of the best things about living in Minnesota is the changing of the seasons. It still amazes me to see how vibrant the colors of the trees can be. My girlfriend Heather, and I took a road trip to Duluth over the weekend on our motorcycle.

It was a little cool on Friday, but we were dressed warm. I had a little difficulty with the cool breeze blowing down my neck, so we decided to stop at a store and get a neck warmer/scarf. They were $20.00 for a simple scarf! She said, "Why don't we just go to the fabric store next door and get a strip of fleece?" We did. My 'scarf' ended up costing $1.55, instead of $20.00. She's such a smart shopper.

We also rode north of Duluth to a place called 'Betty's World Famous Pies'. Pecan is my favorite, so I had a slice. I gave it '2 forks up!"

And if you haven't been to the Split Rock Lighthouse, you should go. Beautiful scenery and history behind it.- Alan
