A few years back, we had plugged gutters. It's something you don't normally think of because you don't see them plugged up. Maybe a few leaves can be seen sticking out, but that could be all.

If you don't get the gutters cleaned and they're plugged up, rain will fill up and flow over the top. That means a lot of water will go down your foundation, flooding your basement. That's what happened to us. And insurance won't cover it.

I've found the BEST way to clean the gutters is to get on the roof and blow them out with a leaf blower. Today's forecast for southeast Minnesota calls for 4-5 inches of rain. I hope your gutters are clean and as always, be safe or call a professional. - Alan
