Rochester, MN (KROC AM News)  - Rochester Police have released the name of the man who was badly injured during an incident that occurred Friday night outside a downtown Rochester bar.

A spokesman says a 33-year-old Dustin Richards of Farmington suffered severe head injuries when he fell from the balcony along the Zumbro River outside Legend’s Bar and Grill. Witnesses told police the man told other people to watch what he was doing just before he grabbed and launched himself up onto the railing in what could have been an attempt to perform a handstand. Instead, he fell about 15 to 20 feet onto the concrete path below and struck his head.

At last report, he was in critical, but stable condition at St. Mary’s Hospital.
