If you've had dogs, you know the bond they form with their humans is very strong. You can see this every time your dog greets you when you get home -- even if you've only been gone a little while.

And the bond between police officers and their K9 partners has to be even stronger. Which is why these pictures gave me all the feels.

It seems that officer Levi Knach and Kenobi, his faithful K-9 partner, recently sat down to take an official portrait. They both work for the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, where they routinely "train for the unfortunate situations of locating missing persons, locating evidence from criminal activity, and detecting illegally taken wildlife,” this story said.

But check out the first few photos, were Kenobi can't stop giving officer Knach some snuggles and kisses. It's too cute! Especially since I know how tough it is to get your pets to sit still while you try to take a picture!

You just don't envision a well-trained, serious K9 like Kenobi here to do the same thing. (Even though, I'm guessing most K9 officers must do the same thing when they're at home with their partners.)
