Public Input Meetings on Chateau Theatre Plan

Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - The Chateau Theatre Reuse Task Force will hold a couple public input and informational sessions on Tuesday.

The first will take place at noon at the University of Minnesota-Rochester, while the second session is scheduled to begin at 7 PM at City Hall. While no official city business will be conducted, the city is giving official notice of the meetings because it is possible a quorum of the City Council could be in attendance.

The purpose of the meetings is to gather input and comments from the public on adapting the historic theater for use as a multipurpose performing arts center. Concept diagrams explaining possible options for best utilizing the Chateau building will be presented during the meetings.

The consulting firm hired to work with the task force will use the input from the sessions as it continues to develop design concepts and prepare a work scope and budget for the project to be presented to the community in late October.
