Sadi is looking for her forever home, and is currently being fostered through the Small Dog Rescue of Minnesota. Here's more on her story:

Sadie is a 4 year old, 21 pound shitzu-poodle mix who was surrendered to Small Dog Rescue from a loving home. She is a sweet girl who loves walks, belly rubs and scratches behind the ear. She is calm and mild mannered, while also being playful with her toy pig. She warms up quickly to her human. She enjoys car rides and can stand strong on her two back legs. Sadie does well with kids and other dogs. She is house trained and crate trained.

Sadie has a history of recurrent bladder stones that have been managed by a prescription diet, when they occur. For maintenance, she eats Blue Buffalo grain free dog food, only. The most important part of managing bladder stones is that her diet is maintained, so that the PH of her urine is as close to 6.5 as possible. If bladder stones were to occur, she would likely have accidents in the house.

Another important factor is that Sadie drink plenty of water and have opportunities to urinate multiple times per day. She would do best in a home where she could be let out often. Right now her foster mom is gone for 10 hours/day, which is not ideal.

Sadie is a lovely dog with non-shedding, soft fur who would be a wonderful addition to an attentive home. For more information contact erin@smalldogsminnesota.org.
